Together for a green and fair future
Sustainability is the starting point for ACE's work
At ACE, we believe in a green future where sustainable and cost-effective transport is available to everyone
Our vision
In Norway, over 76% of journeys are made by car, and the transport sector accounts for a third of the country's greenhouse gas emissions.
That's why we introduced ACE, Norway's most affordable electric vehicle both in terms of price and operation. Good for the environment, good for your finances.
Sustainability is not a work we will finish and ACE is not perfect
At ACE, we continuously work to obtain information about the sustainability of our operations and products.
Our approach
Based on data, we try to take precise measures to bring us closer to the future we want; green and fair for all.
We believe in openness, transparency and cooperation to achieve this. In our work, we start from the fact that we always have the potential for improvement and that there are probably conditions somewhere in the supply chain that we do not want to be familiar with, but which we have not yet succeeded in finding.
Therefore, we curiously go to work in the search for this in order to become better together with everyone we are directly or indirectly connected to through our operations. No one is perfect at sustainability, but that's no excuse not to try to be.

Where are we today and where are we going?
The supply chain
1
ACE mainly consists of components or the raw material from China. This entails a risk of, among other things, violations of human rights. ACE is therefore in continuous dialogue with the manufacturer regarding this topic and monitoring throughout the supply chain.
Concretely, it is known in the electric vehicle industry that cobalt used in lithium batteries has a high risk of human rights violations. This is an area ACE additional resources to monitor. Today, our batteries are supplied by Gotion , owned by Volkswagen.
ACE is currently working on plans to produce the vehicle in recycled aluminium . Recycling 1 tonne of aluminum saves 6 tonnes of bauxite and 9 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Globally, recycling aluminum saves more than 100 million tonnes of CO2 each year and it retains all its properties no matter how many times it is recycled, as well as that in the remelting process, energy consumption can be reduced by as much as 95 percent.
Use
3
Based on the fact that the ACE is an electric light motorcycle car and consequently has a significantly lower weight than a normal car, society achieves the following environmental benefits:
1) less energy is required to move the vehicle
2) ACE causes less wear and tear on infrastructure
3) ACE creates less turbulence of road dust and pollution in the environment and
4) less natural wear and tear on the vehicle and, consequently, potentially less need to replace components.
In the coming year, ACE will work to make the vehicle even lighter through the use of recycled aluminium, which means that the above factors are further reinforced in a positive sense.
ACE is 100% electric, which contributes to zero emissions during use, as well as cleaner air and less noise pollution where it travels.
Recycling
4
In the coming year, ACE will work to make the vehicle even lighter through the use of recycled aluminium, which means that larger parts of the vehicle can be recycled in their entirety.
ACE is also working to find a partner for the safe recycling of lithium batteries.
On a general basis, ACE works actively to use materials that can be recycled at the end of their useful lives.
Production
2
The production of ACE is carried out at the second major car manufacturer in new China with over 70 years of experience in the industry. At the factory, approx. 85% of production robotized and automated. This helps to reduce the risk for workers.
ACE is working to map the emissions from production and the aim is to get this as low as possible. Given that the ACE is a light motor ambulance, significantly less material is required in its production compared to, for example, a class B car.
!
Light motorcycle cars are by their nature significantly more sustainable than an electric class B car*
* Assuming equal lifespan
Therefore, Enova provides NOK 25,000 in support to private individuals to encourage more people to buy electric motorcycle vehicles, as this helps to reduce Norway's greenhouse gas emissions.
